These terms are the agreement between you and NestJS Devs. They're written to be read. Where the law gives you rights as a consumer, nothing here takes them away.
1. Who we are
NestJS Devs (nestjsdevs.com) is run by Cristian Cosenza, a sole trader based in Italy (partita IVA IT06821690820, certified email/PEC: cristiancosenza@pec.it). "We" and "us" mean him; "you" means the person or company using the service.
Contact: support@nestjsdevs.com
NestJS Devs is an independent project, not affiliated with NestJS or its authors.
2. What NestJS Devs is
NestJS Devs is a directory of NestJS backend developers. Developers create profiles; we review each one before it goes live. Teams browse the directory and spend credits to open conversations with developers, then agree any work directly with them.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18, and able to enter into a contract.
- Developers sign in with GitHub. Teams sign in with GitHub or an email login link.
- Keep your details accurate, and keep access to your GitHub account and email secure. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person, one developer account. A team account represents one company or team.
- If you use NestJS Devs for a company, you confirm you can accept these terms on its behalf.
4. Developer profiles
- Accurate and yours. Your profile must describe you truthfully: your experience, skills, rates and projects. Only list projects you worked on and may talk about.
- Review. We review every profile by hand before it's listed. We aim to review within 48 hours, or within 12 hours with Devs Plus. These are targets, not guarantees. We may approve a profile, ask for changes, or decline it, and we'll tell you why.
- Removal. We may remove a listed profile that breaks these terms or that no longer meets the review standard, and we'll tell you why (section 12).
- What's visible. Our Privacy Policy explains which parts of your profile are public, which need an account, and who can message you.
5. Teams and credits
- Browsing is free. Seeing full profiles needs a free account.
- One credit opens a conversation with one developer. Messaging that developer afterwards is free.
- Credits never expire while your account exists.
- Using developer data. When you see or contact a developer, you may use their information only to evaluate and contact them about work. You may not export, scrape, bulk-collect, resell or share it, or use it for marketing. You're responsible for your own compliance with data protection law for the data you receive.
6. Messaging
- Be professional. No spam, harassment, discrimination, or messages unrelated to work.
- Links in messages are removed automatically. You can attach one file per message (PDF, JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 2 MB).
- Either side can block the other at any time; a blocked party can no longer message.
- Don't use messages to ask for passwords, payments outside a genuine work agreement, or personal data the work doesn't need.
7. Prices and payment
- Prices are shown on the site. Consumers see prices including VAT. Business prices may be shown excluding VAT, with VAT added where it applies.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see your card details.
- We may change prices for future purchases. A change never affects credits you've already bought, or a Devs Plus period you've already paid for. If the Devs Plus price changes, we'll tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal, and you can cancel before it applies.
8. Refunds, cancellation and withdrawal
8.1 Credits
- Unused credits are refundable if you ask within 14 days of buying them.
- Spent credits aren't refundable: the conversation they opened has been delivered.
- If you're an EU consumer, at checkout you ask us to make the credits available immediately, and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal for each credit once you've used it.
8.2 Devs Plus
- Devs Plus is a subscription, billed monthly or yearly. It renews automatically until you cancel.
- Cancel anytime in your account settings. Plus stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, and isn't renewed after that.
- Apart from section 8.3, we don't refund partial periods.
8.3 EU consumers: 14-day withdrawal
If you're a consumer in the EU, you can withdraw from a Devs Plus subscription within 14 days of subscribing, without giving a reason, by writing to support@nestjsdevs.com. At checkout you ask for Plus to start immediately, so if you withdraw, we refund what you paid minus the part for the days already used. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 14 days.
8.4 Goodwill
Outside these rules we may still give a refund at our discretion. Doing so once doesn't oblige us to do it again.
9. What we do and don't do
We connect teams and developers; we're not part of their deals. Any work, contract, rate, payment or dispute is between the team and the developer. We aren't an employment or staffing agency, we don't employ or represent developers, and we take no fee on any hire.
We don't guarantee outcomes. Our review checks profiles against our standard; it isn't a guarantee. We don't promise that any developer is qualified, available or a good fit, that what they say is accurate, that a team will hire anyone, or that a developer will be hired. Make your own checks before you agree to work together.
10. Your content
- You keep ownership of everything you put on NestJS Devs: your profile, photo, projects, messages and files.
- You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and transmit that content only to run the service, for example showing your profile to visitors and delivering your messages. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep by law.
- No AI training. We never use your content to train AI models, and neither do our providers on our behalf.
- You confirm you have the right to post what you post, and that it doesn't infringe anyone's rights.
11. Acceptable use
Don't:
- break the law or infringe others' rights;
- post false, misleading or impersonating profiles;
- scrape, crawl or bulk-download the directory, or try to get around credits, blocks or rate limits;
- interfere with the service's security or performance;
- use NestJS Devs to recruit for work that is illegal, or to collect personal data for purposes other than hiring;
- resell access to the service.
Reporting. If you see content that you believe is illegal or breaks these terms, report it to support@nestjsdevs.com with the link and the reason. We'll review it and let you know what we decided.
12. Suspension and closing accounts
- By you: delete your account anytime in Settings. Unused credits bought in the last 14 days are refunded on request (section 8.1).
- By us, immediately: if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, including fraud, abuse, scraping, harassment or fake profiles, or if the law requires it.
- By us, with notice: for any other reason, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and refund any unused credits.
- When we suspend, remove or restrict anything, we'll tell you what we did and why, unless the law prevents it. You can reply to support@nestjsdevs.com to contest the decision, and a person will review it.
13. Liability
13.1 Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including liability for intent (dolo), gross negligence (colpa grave), death or personal injury, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
13.2 Within those limits, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the specific item the claim relates to: the credit pack, or the Devs Plus period. For free use of the service, it's limited to €50.
13.3 We provide the service "as is". We work to keep it running, but we don't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We aren't liable for the actions, statements or contracts of other users (section 9).
13.4 If you use NestJS Devs as a business, you'll cover our reasonable costs and losses from third-party claims caused by your content, or by your breach of these terms, including misuse of developer data. This section doesn't apply to consumers.
14. Changes to the service and these terms
We may improve or change the service. If we change these terms in a way that matters, such as new fees, new obligations or reduced rights, we'll tell you by email or on the site at least 30 days before the change applies. If you don't agree, you can close your account before then, and we'll refund unused credits and any prepaid Devs Plus time after the change date.
15. Sponsorships
Sponsorship tiers are agreed separately by email and invoice. These terms apply to sponsors' use of the site; the sponsorship agreement covers the rest.
16. Law and disputes
- These terms are governed by Italian law.
- If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there.
- Please contact us first at support@nestjsdevs.com: most problems are quicker to fix by talking.
17. Clauses requiring specific approval
Under articles 1341 and 1342 of the Italian Civil Code, by ticking the separate box at signup you specifically approve these clauses: 4 (review and removal of profiles), 8 (refunds and limits on them), 9 (no guarantee of outcomes), 12 (suspension and closure by us), 13 (limitation of liability and indemnity), 14 (changes to the terms) and 16 (governing law).
